俄罗斯标尺使用方法介绍：

俄罗斯SVD狙击步上有两种不同的瞄准装置，一是弧形表尺与圆柱准星组成的机械瞄具，表尺分划从0到1200m每100m一个分划，瞄准基线长587mm。另一种瞄具，也是主瞄具，是放大4倍的PSO—l型瞄准镜，视场6度，物镜直径30mm，安装在机匣左侧。瞄准镜座的安装不影响射手在紧急情况下使用机械瞄具。PSO—l瞄准镜内部的分划板可用于测距。当射手捕捉到位于水平线和测距曲线之间1．7m高的目标时，他可以在测距曲线上部的一个分划上看到相应的目标距离。此时，射手只要调整距离调节手轮就可以将弹道修正到测定的距离上，从而达到非常高的命中概率。 　　距离调节手轮刻度从0到10, 对应射程为0~1000m, 每个刻度间隔100m. 在刻度4(400m)以后, 每个刻度中间还有一个定位, 分别对应450m, 550m, 650m,...950m. 在瞄具内部分划板上除主分划外，在铅垂方向下方还有3个分划，每100m一个分划。所以，用PSO—l瞄准镜瞄准，最大射程可达1300m。

分划板左右两侧各有10密位的刻度, 可以用于估算提前量. 风偏修正手轮的调节范围是左右各10密位, 每个刻度对应0.5密位. 　　

PSO-1型瞄准镜中, 还安装有红外线感光屏, 通过照明开关上方的手柄控制, 白天可以收起感光屏(手柄水平位置), 让出瞄准光路; 夜间可以将感光屏接入光路中(手柄垂直位置), 可以发现敌人的主动红外光源, 例如红外探照灯. 但不能算作真正的夜视仪. 　　

SVD在600米距离上的散布为395mm，相当于在600码距离散布为14.17英寸，而北约国家对狙击步枪的要求是15英寸。为了提高狙击步的精度，SVD还需要专门的特制药，由维克多·萨贝尔尼科夫（Victor Sabelnikov）带领着一组苏联工程师设计了一种钢芯结构的7N1专门狙击，钢壳，弹头重9.8g，发展药重3.1g，SVD使用射击精度明显比使用现有的普通枪弹要准确得多。
